How we are mitigating the spread of Covid – 19 within our businesses
While it is very unlikely that coronavirus is transmitted through food, we are taking every precaution to minimise any risk to our customers.
We are following the Food Standards Agency’s (FSA) guidance on good hygiene practices and following all Government guidance for food businesses.
While the PHE guidance does not advise wearing face masks outside of clinical or care settings it does recommend that;
- Space within the workplace is optimised to allow social distancing.
- Employees do not attend work if they have a cough or fever
- Employees are provided with hand sanitiser for frequent use and regular breaks to allow time for regular hand washing for a minimum of 20 seconds.
- Frequently clean and disinfect objects and surfaces that are touched regularly, using your standard cleaning products
All of which is being followed within our businesses.
There has also been specific guidance issued by Welsh Government that all business must take all reasonable measures to maintain physical distancing in the workplace, again we are able to implement social distancing within our businesses and during our work together as the Wye Valley Producers Group.
